FAIRY TALE DRAMA (AGES 4-5) 8
WEEKS Welcome to the land of Fairy Tales! Where Once Upon a Time is on
our mind. Each week kids will get to decide, create and perform tales and

THE SPRING AWAKENING (AGES 5-8) 8
WEEKS Inspired & imagined through and by the children. The Spring
Awakening will be a show, written, created, designed and narrated by the
kids themselves. The spring showcase will be loosely adapted from the tale

CHILDREN'S BEGINNING ACTING (Ages 7-10) 8
weeks A fun and exciting way to develop the skills essential for the
young performer, while enhancing social skills, self-expression and confidence.
Work with a professional actor and director as you explore the basics in
improvisation, warm-ups, movement and theatre games, in a relaxed and supportive

BEGINNING TO INTERMEDIATE
ACTING & SCENE STUDY (Ages 11-18) 8 weeks
This class will emphasize scene work
using improvisation technique, character analysis, monologues, script breakdown,
and audition techniques.

TV/FILM ACTING (Ages 8-12) 8 weeks Get
a taste of stardom and have fun while developing your acting technique through
on-camera experience. Practice improvisation, presentation, and audition skills
using commercial, film, and TV scripts (both comedy and drama). Parents are
invited to observe the last class in action! Limited to 8 students. Tuesdays

always wanted to try acting, this is the class for you! Come and have fun while

ABOUT LAKEWOOD
INSTRUCTORS
Shelly Lipkin - is Co-Artistic Director of Cygnet Theatre
in Portland and has performed with ART, Profile Theatre, Tygres Heart
Theatre and dozens of T.V. series, films and commercials as a member
of SAG/AFTRA/Equity. He also teaches at Young Musicians and Artists
Camp, and Marylhurst University.
Sandra Peabody - is an Emmy award winning writer and producer
and also manages talent. Student acting credits include local TV/Film
work, and weekly leads on network Television series and major films
including guest starring roles on Boston Public, Providence, ER, Law
and Order, Just Shoot Me, Judging Amy, 3rd Rock and Without a
Trace.
Liz Hayden - has an MFA in theatre and managed her own arts
camp in Santa Monica, CA, prior to moving back home to Portland where
she teaches, directs and acts.
Nancy McDonald's acting credits include theatre, film and
television. She founded the Shakespeare Stage Company in New York and
The Writer's Lab in LA, teaches for Oregon Children's Theatre,
Atkinson Graduate School of Management and PCC, and is a producer at
Magaurn Video Media.

ABOUT OUR EDUCATION
PROGRAM:
Lakewood Theatre
Company, now in its 50th year of productions,
offers a year round program in theatre and visual
arts education for adults and children at the
Lakewood Center for the Arts. Our class instructors
and production directors are local artists who have
deinonstrated proficiency in their craft. Many have
been with our program for several years.

REGISTRATION
INFORMATION:
To pre-register for
any class listed please

and mail to P.O. Box 274, Lake Oswego, OR 97034,
Registrations are also taken at our
box office on weekdays from 9-5. A minimum enrollment of 8 students
per class is needed. Programs will not be held if the minimum
enrollment is not met. All classes are at Lakewood Center for the
Arts, 368 S. State Street in Lake Oswego.
Postponement/Class Cancellation Policy:
If Lake Oswego schools are closed due to inclement weather, classes
will be postponed. Please check with our office at 503-635-3901 after
3:00 PM to verify.
Refund
Policy:
Full refunds will be given up until 3 weeks before a class
begins minus a $10.00 administrative fee. From 3 weeks to the first
day a 75% refund will be given. No refunds given after the 1st
day.
Medical Consent
And Release From Liability And Indemnifications:
I, (as signed on the registration form) for myself and/or as
parent/guardian of the named registered child, do hereby authorize
employees of the Lakewood Theatre Company/Lakewood Center to consent
to emergency medical or dental examination, treatments, etc., to be
administered to the same in the event of accident or sudden illness
during LTC/Lakewood Center programs. In addition, I agree that I am
responsible for the said participants' transportation to and from
the class or activity site. I hereby release and discharge the LTC/Lakewood Center, its officers, agents, and employees from any and
all claims for personal injuries. I also agree that pictures taken
during program hours may be used for future promotional purposes. The LTC/Lakewood Center does not provide any medical insurance for any
participant in any program.
Registrations are
taken at the Lakewood box office, 368 S. State Street in Lake Oswego
on weekdays from 9-5 or by mail at P.O. Box 274, Lake Oswego, OR
97034. A participant is not officially registered unless space is
available and payment has been received. A minimum enrollment of 8
students per class is needed. Programs will not be held if the minimum
enrollment is not met. All classes are at Lakewood Center for
the Arts, 368 S. State Street in Lake Oswego, meeting once a week or
