Art Beneath the Bark: A Celebration of Woodturning
An International Exhibit and Sale


Art Beneath the Bark: A Celebration of Woodturning, a juried and invitational art show of woodturning will be the cornerstone exhibit of the 42nd annual Festival of the Arts in Lake Oswego. This special exhibit, sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank, with over 150 pieces from 16 states and three countries, is the largest gathering of woodturning artwork ever assembled in the state of Oregon.
 
The special exhibit will also feature the works of many American woodturners including noted Oregon artists Dan Kvitka (former editor of "The American Woodturner") and William Moore (sculpture, drawing and design teacher at Pacific Northwest College of Art). During the weekend many of these artists will be available to talk about their work. In addition, the Festival will host special artist workshops and lectures highlighting the ancient art of woodturning.

Come marvel over 150 pieces that span the globe.  International artists exhibited from Iceland, England, France, Canada to professionals in our own very backyard of the Pacific Northwest. As the wood turns, see lathe demonstrations led by craftsman including the following:
