EVENT PROFILE:  The Festival of the Arts, celebrating its 43rd year, is a major regional non-profit arts event, presenting the creative endeavors of recognized and emerging artists from all facets of the art world. The Festival enjoys an outstanding reputation for bringing special exhibits of quality and diversity to the weekend that are accessible to everyone. Documented numbers show that the Festival attracts 22 - 25,000 visitors during the three days of the event. The Festival provides three major exhibition opportunities for artists during the event: The Open Show (an unjuried exhibition open to Northwest artists), The Artist's Vision (a juried exhibit open to Northwest artists) and the Craft Faire (open to Northwest artisans and exhibitors of fine craft work).

The Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts is announcing its "Call to Artists" for the 2006 exhibition at Lakewood Center for the Arts and George Rogers Park in Lake Oswego, Oregon. The dates for this year's festival will be June 23, 24, & 25, 2006.

The Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts, now in its 43rd year, is a program division of Lakewood Center for the Arts, a non-profit organization. The event has grown to include an open art show of more than 1,000 artists, a Craft Faire featuring more than 110 Northwest artists, interactive artist demonstrations and a juried exhibit of regional or national significance.  Now attracting 22-25,000 people, this three-day celebration also showcases a performing art series, music in the park, special art exhibits, and a children's art and performance venue.

 

The Artist's Vision - Juried Exhibition

This juried exhibit is in its 7th year for the Festival of the Arts. Applications must be received at the Festival office (as listed above) no later than Wednesday, March 1, 2006. Artists are asked to reflect the theme "The Artist's Vision" in their work.
