About the Open Show:

The Open Show is one of the largest shows of its kind in the Pacific Northwest. The show displays work from emerging and professional artists. Everyone is welcome without a jury process. A limited number of cash and non-cash awards are presented each year which are sponsored by area businesses, organizations and individuals. Different arts professionals are selected as judges each year.

 About the Judges - 2014

Mark Woolley has been an art enthusiast and gallery owner since 1993. He has exhibited work throughout the Portland are in several spaces. His current gallery is on  the third level of Pioneer Place, (Atrium Building) in downtown Portland. Noted art critic D.K. Row said of Wooley, " If the art world is made up of a series of trendy scenes, then Woolley's is the most happening one." Website: www.markwoolley.com

Abi Spring has a Master of Visual Arts, Glass from the Australian National University, Canberra, Australia and a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Painting from the Maine College of Art, Portland, ME. She has had solo exhibitions in Portland at Chambers Gallery, Lovelake Gallery, and Machine Shop Gallery. She has also exhibited at the Yum Gallery, Hood River, and galleries in Vermont, Colorado and New Mexico. She has been an artist in residence for Museum of Contemporary Craft, Open Studio Artist-in-Residence (2013) and for the Pilchuck Glass School, Emerging Artist in Residence, Stanwood, WA (2012). In 2012 she received a Professional Development Grant from RACC to study glass in the Czech Republic. Website: www.abispring.com
