ABOUT THIS EXHIBIT
This juried Exhibit, now in its 12th year at the Festival of the Arts, has become a popular venue for both emerging and established artists. All entries must be received at the festival office (listed above) no later than March 4, 2011.
All art works will be selected from submitted digital images on CD in jpeg format that meet the requrements outlined below. Please read guidelines carefuly to insure that your entry is well documented and eligible for jury. Any missing or unclear information will potentially disquality your submission.
Eligibility: Open to all Northwest artists who can deliver work to Lakewood Center on Sunday, June 19, 2011 between 1-4 PM.
Entry Fee: $20 nonrefundable fee for up to 3 entries. Artists not accepted for inclusion may, however, apply fee to the Open Show exhibition entry fee.
Works Eligible: Up to three (3) original 2D or 3D works executed in any permanent medium suitable to the fine arts that are the original creations of the artist. Work must have been completed within the last two (2) years and be available for sale. No work created from imagery of another artist, photographer or any copyrighted work is eligible. 2D works are limited to NO LARGER THAN 60” in either direction and NO SMALLER than 10” x 12” (including matt and frame). 3D works are limited to 75 lbs. and a maximum of 60” in any direction.
Framing: All framed work over 24” x 30” requiring glazing must have plexiglass in place of glass. All matting must have a minimum of 2.5” surrounding artwork and must be neutral in color. Colored liners OK.
Sales: A 40% commission will be retained from all sales. All artwork submitted MUST be available for sale in the exhibition.
Juror: Mary Lou Zeek (Mary Lou Zeek Galley, Salem OR).
Jurying: Will be done exclusively from digital images. Submit 1 image of each entry on CD-ROM.
All images must be jpeg format (.jpg) with medium compression. Images not in JPEG format are unacceptable.
Please do not use Windows program “Media Center.”
Images should be at a 300 dpi (dots per inch) resolution and no larger than 1024 x 768 pixels.
Please double check your CD images for readability prior to submittal.
Each image on the CD should be labeled with your last name, first initial, entry number (as below), and title only
Submission: Please include these 4 items with your entry:
- Completed Entry form.
- CD with up to 3 digital images (CD’s will not be returned unless requested and adequate postage and envelope is included with submission)
- $20 payment to LO Festival of the Arts: Artist's Vision Juried Show
- Self-addressed stamped envelope for result notification.

Deadline: Entry forms, payment and CD must be received by 5:00 PM on March 4, 2011. Results will be mailed out the week of April 15, 2011. All accepted work must be hand delivered on Sunday, June 19, 2011.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Mission statement: The Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts’ primary goal is to educate by promoting, supporting, coordinating and exhibiting the arts of the region.
The Festival of the Arts, celebrating its 48th year, is a major regional non-profit arts event, presenting the creative endeavors of recognized and emerging artists from all facets of the art world. The Festival enjoys an outstanding reputation for bringing special exhibits of quality and diversity to the weekend that are accessible to everyone. Documented numbers show that the Festival attracts 25,000 visitors during the three days of the event. The Festival provides three major exhibition opportunities for artists during the event: The Open Show (an unjuried exhibition open to Northwest artists), The Artist’s Vision (a juried exhibit open to Northwest artists) and the Craft Faire (open to artisans and exhibitors of fine craft work throughout the U.S.).
The Festival, a sub division of Lakewood Theatre Company/Lakewood Center for the Arts, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit arts organization, is committed to arts education, performance and exhibition.
