About the playEl Grande de Coca-Cola, set in a tatty nightclub somewhere south of the border, is performed almost entirely in Spanish. No worries for non-Spanish speakers, however, since the physical comedy is broad enough and the dialogue peppered enough with English-isms for the meaning and the humor to remain hysterical. It's a classic setup: The headliners for impresario Pepe Hernandez’s “All-Star” cabaret have refused to show up, meaning his ragtag family must step in at the last minute and pass themselves off as singers, dancers, magicians and acrobats to pull the show out of the hat.

"Deliriously funny ... refreshingly lunatic ... high spirited fun in the supreme American tradition that extends from burlesque to Charlie Chaplin, Ernie Kovacs, and Second City." - Women's Wear Daily
