The Annual Meeting
The annual member meeting of the corporation will take place in the evening on Friday June 30, 2017 from 5:30 - 6:00 PM at the Headlee Mainstage, Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S. State Street in Lake Oswego. Below is information regarding matters to be discussed.

Place: Headlee Mainstage at Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S. State St., Lake Oswego, OR 97034

Matters to be considered at the annual meeting of the corporation:
    1. Selection of Officers for the Board of the corporation
    2. Selection of Directors for the Board of the corporation

The following individuals are recommended by the Nominating Committee to serve on the Board of Directors. The expiration of their term is indicated in parenthesis after their name.

    1. Selection of Officers:
        For officers in the 2017-18 year the Nominating Committee recommends the membership elect current Board member and President Don Plumb as President of the Board for a one (1) year term for the year 2017-18. It is further recommended that current Board member, and Treasurer, Jeanne Denton be elected as Treasurer for a one (1) year term for the year 2017-18.

OFFICER BIOS:
DON PLUMB - PRESIDENT (officer term expires 2018) a Lake Oswego resident, is a retired M.D., board certified in
Ophthalmology. Don served as a U.S. Army flight surgeon, was President and board member of the Oregon Academy of Ophthalmology and was a board member of the Oregon Medical Association and President of the Multnomah County Medical Society. Don also served as a board member and partner at EyeHealth Northwest where he was an active participant in business and personnel decisions. He has been a Lakewood board member since 2012 and has served as Treasurer for two years and President for one year..

JEANNE DENTON - TREASURER (officer term expires 2018) a resident of Lake Oswego, was president of the Lakewood Center Associates for the 2010-11 year. For the Associates, Jeanne has served as Publicity Chair, Consignment Chair and ReRuns Manager. She co-chaired the annual auction fundraiser at Resurrection Catholic Church from 1997-2007. Jeanne has also worked with Jafco coordinating catalog, showroom and retail sales. She is now an owner, with husband Mike, of Denton Resources, Inc. Serving on the Lakewood Board continues a long tradition of family volunteering at Lakewood. She has been a board member since 2009 and Treasurer for one year. Last year she chaired the Lakewood in City Lights celebration and fundraising event.

2. Selection of Directors:
        For directors the Committee recommends the membership elect the following with terms to expire as marked in parenthesis.     

RYAN BIRGE (2020) a long-time Lake Oswego resident, is a Loan Specialist with First Republic Bank. His civic volunteer credits include work with Three Rivers Land Conservancy and Habitat for Humanity. At Lakewood he is a frequent volunteer and patron of our annual Lobster Feed & charity Auction.

HEATHER BOGATY (2018) a Dunthorpe resident, has had several non-profit board roles. Among them: Board member (including Secretary, Communications, President-Elect and President) of Riverdale Grade School Parent Teacher Club (2006-2012), co-chair Riverdale Bond Campaign raising $21.5 million (2007-2008), member of Riverdale Superintendent Fiscal Advisory Committee (2009), member of Riverdale Grade School Site Council (2013-2015), Board member of Riverdale School Foundation (2015-present), co-chair Riverdale Foundation Annual Campaign raising $1.2 million (2016-present), co-chair Riverdale Carnival (2011, 2015), member of Riverdale Strategic Planning Committee (2013), chair website for Riverdale Parent Teacher Club (designed 2013, webmaster 2013-present), and developed content/designed monthly Riverdale District Newsletter (2006-2009).

JAN COULTON (2020) Jan spent her career in educational administration, focusing on public relations and government affairs. She also has experience managing campaigns, primarily for school and community college bond measure elections. She received a BA from Wheaton College in Massachusetts. She has lived in Lake Oswego for close to 30 years and was the Lakewood Center Associates President in 2016-17.

JEANNE DENTON (2020) a resident of Lake Oswego, was president of the Lakewood Center Associates for the 2010-11 year. JOAN FREED (2018) is a professional actress living in Lake Oswego. She was a prior Managing Actuary with Sedgewick James of Oregon. Her non-profit experience includes board member of Lake Oswego Women's Coalition, site coordinator for SMART (Start Making a Reader Today), and the prior chair of Arts Downtown for the Lake Oswego Arts Commission. Joan has also served as Secretary, Assistant Treasurer, and Vice President of the Lakewood Associates and will be their President in 2017-18.

KELLY GIAMPA (2020) a resident of Lake Oswego, is a trial attorney/partner with the Portland office of Hart Wagner LLP. She has worked with Lakewood for several years on the Festival of Arts sponsorship committee and served as co-chair for the past five years. She has served on the Lakewood board since 2014. She is an avid Lakewood Theatre Company attendee and helps the Festival of the Arts as a volunteer registrar.

JERRY KOLL (2018) is a founding partner of Koll-Lenhoff and DIBroker, a national distributor of individual disability insurance located in Lake Oswego. Jerry and his wife Marge have resided in Lake Oswego since 1975. He holds a B.A. in Music Education and professional designations for insurance (CLU) and financial services (ChFC). Jerry is active in his church and in community volunteer activities. He is a charter member of Novum Chamber Singers as a participant, board member and officer. Jerry is a member of the Board of Directors for the Concordia University Foundation and serves on the finance committee. He has served on the Lakewood Board of Directors since 2002. He also served as Treasurer for three years and was the President for 2010-11.

DR. RICKY KORACH (2018) is a retired English teacher/Department Chair from Lake Oswego High School. She has a Doctorate in Educational Leadership: Curriculum and Instruction. Her civic activities include 11 years with the Lake Oswego Reads steering committee member of the North End Library feasibility study; and volunteering with several fundraisers throughout the community such as phonathons for the LOSD Foundation and blood drives for the Red Cross. A resident of Lake Oswego for more than 53 years, she has a sense of the history both of the community and the theatre. For Lakewood she has worked on several major fundraisers and has been a board liaison for the Festival of Arts. She has been a Lakewood board member since 2012.

CHUCK O'LEARY (2018) is a member of Lake Oswego Rotary and served as Lobster Feed and Charity Auction Chair in 1999. Other organizations he has worked with include Big Brothers of Arizona and the Los Angeles Museum of Natural History. He also served on the board of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association/In the Wings. He has been on the Lakewood board from 2000-2005 and again 2015-17.

TROY SCHMIT (2020) a Lake Oswego resident, is the Director of Quality and Safety Management for Oregon Health & Science University. He has a BA in Human Biology from Stanford University and a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Indiana University. His civic activities include: singer/board member of Novum Chamber Singers; singer/committee member, Oregon Repertory Singers; and Elder/committee member/choir President of Lake Grove Presbyterian Church. He has also been an actor, director, writer and producer of theatre.

AARON NIGEL SMITH (2020) is the artistic director for One World Chorus. Aaron has studied at the Interlochen Arts Academy, Manhattan School of Music and Marygrove College. In 2002, he founded FUNdamentals of Music and Movement, an arts program which is now the program of choice for over 100 early education centers in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Boston. In 2009, Aaron and his wife Diedre formed the non-profit One World Chorus with the goal of building bridges internationally through choral singing. There are currently over 500 children involved in the music outreach programs in Portland, Los Angeles, New York, Kenya and Jamaica. He is also the founder of Rox in Sox Children's Music and Book Festival and a member of Lake Oswego Rotary. He has been a Lakewood Board member since 2016.

BILL WARNER (2020) In past years, he has been active with parent groups at Lake Oswego High School and the advisory board for his church. Bill is a past President of the Lake Oswego Rotary Club and of the Lakewood Center. Bill has served in several prominent leadership positions to raise funds for the new stage house and for the endowment fund. He is the recipient of the Lake Oswego Community Leader of the Year Award from the Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce and the Heritage Award from Lakewood Theatre Company. Bill has been on the board of Lakewood since 1994.

who will be retiring from the board this year. Their service is very much appreciated!
