Saturdays, Sept. 23 - Nov. 11 8 weeks
2 - 5 PM Ages 4 - 7
Instructor: Liz Hayden $150

Children will step into the world of creating, designing and making their own show from pure imagination. Through games play, art, music and dance students will create an exciting show. Remember to bring a snack and get ready to have a wonderful time. Performance on the last day of camp. Materials cost included in fee.

Grimm To Glee TV

Tuesdays, Sept. 26 - Nov. 21 8 weeks
4:30 - 6 PM Ages 7 - 11
Instructor: Sandra Peabody $185

Have fun practicing on-camera acting skills! Become a star and create an episode for kids from the NBC television series, Grimm, based on the Grimm Brothers Fairy Tales. Led by Emmy award-winning instructor Sandra Peabody, this class will have lots of villains, heroines, and monsters. Throw in some comedy and have a blast while learning television production! Parents are invited to observe the last class in action. Class limited to 8 students. No class Halloween, October 31.

On-Camera Acting

Tuesdays, Sept. 26 - Nov. 21 8 weeks
6 - 7:30 PM Ages 12 - 17
Instructor: Sandra Peabody $185

Act in front of the camera, create and perform scenes, practice improvisation, presentation, and auditioning skills using commercial, film, and TV scripts (both comedy and drama). Instant video feedback helps students improve their talent, and develop confidence and poise. Parents are invited to attend the last class in action! Instructor Sandra Peabody is an Emmy-award winning writer/producer/director and manages young talent for voice over, film and television work in the Northwest and Los Angeles. Limited enrollment. Creative Movement

Wednesdays, Sept. 13 - Nov. 15 10 weeks
3:30 - 4:15 PM Ages 3-4
Instructor: Kasha Watts $120

This is a fun, creative introduction to basic ballet movement. Emphasis is on coordination, rhythm, music and mime using props, rhymes, stories and imagination. Your child will be galloping on a pony, leaping over puddles, and learning movements to their favorite preschool songs! Dress code: any style leotard (pink, black, or white), tutus & skirts (optional), tights (optional), & ballet technique slippers (required).

Pre-Ballet

Thursdays, Sept. 14 - Nov. 16 10 weeks

This class is an extension of Creative Movement with a focus on basic ballet skills, terminology, rhythm and coordination. Skills will be practiced and developed through creative movement, music and use of props in a supportive and encouraging environment. Dress code: any style leotard (pink, black, or white), tutus & skirts (optional), tights (optional), & ballet technique slippers (required).

Beginning Ballet I

Thursdays, Sept. 14 - Nov. 16 10 weeks

This class is a transition from the creative movement aspect of Pre-Ballet to a more formal ballet class in which the fundamentals of ballet and barre work are introduced. Focus is on posture, muscle strength, technique and musicality in a supportive and encouraging environment. One year of Pre-Ballet experience recommended. Beginning Ballet II

Wednesdays & Thursdays, Sept. 13 - Nov. 16 10 weeks
Wed. 4:15 - 5:15 PM | Thur. 5:15 - 6:15 PM (with Level III class) Ages 7-9

This is a formal ballet class where students participate in stretching, barre work and center floor work. Students will further develop posture, muscle strength, technique, musicality and self-discipline in a supportive and encouraging environment. One to two years ballet experience recommended. Beginning Ballet III

Ballet Level lll students further develop their ballet technique through stretching, barre work and center floor work. Continued emphasis on posture, muscle strength, technique, musicality, and self-discipline in a supportive and encouraging environment. Students will be introduced to turns and more challenging allegro (jumps) work. Two plus years experience or permission by instructor required. 1 World Chorus

Wednesdays, Sept. 13 - Nov. 15 10 weeks
4:30 - 6 PM Ages 8-12
Instructor: Aaron Nigel Smith $195

1 World Chorus is for students who love to sing. During this class we introduce young singers to a variety of musical genres including classical, jazz, folk and popular music. We explore the voice as a musical instrument, encouraging students to sing with an understanding of basic vocal technique. Each session ends with a culminating performance for family, friends and the local community. 1 World Chorus has released two award-winning albums: Welcome to the Village and Celebrating Bob Marley. The chorus had been featured at The Grammy Museum, Legoland, Symphony Space, The Portland Art Museum and The Roxy in Hollywood, among other special performance venues. 1 World Chorus also provides opportunity for cultural exchange and collaboration with partner organizations in New York, Los Angeles, Jamaica and Kenya. Sing, Sing, Sing

Tuesdays, Sept. 26 - Nov. 28 10 weeks

Instructor: Leona Mitchell $195

Ever wish you could sell a song like the pros do? Leona Mitchell, who comes to us via a long career as a Broadway and National Touring Company singer and actress, teaches singers of all experience levels how to control the performance, take the stage, and make the song shine. This is a class for everyone who wants to ace the audition or wow the crowd with emphasis on salesmanship and solo performance. Mitchell, who has shared the stage with such luminaries as Ethel Merman and Tony Roberts, works with each student on an individual basis to bring out the very best you have to offer. Whether it’s a ballad or an up tune, this class will teach you breath control, how to vocalize for the strongest voice and how to come across the footlights as the professional you were meant to be. Ages 18 and older. Class limited to 10 students. Class on Halloween, October 31 will be moved to Monday, October 30.

How To Tell Your Story - Advanced

A next level for students who took the “How To Tell Your Story” class. As anyone who’s ever told a good story knows, it only gets better with time and the telling. This class is designed to boost your storytelling skills from the first class and culminates in a one-night performance for an invited audience. Maximum 6 students.

An ongoing, in-depth class for actors who are serious about advancing their acting skills while preparing themselves for auditions and work. Students work on scenes, monologues, auditions and storytelling, with a teacher who brings decades of experience in the professional world of New York and Hollywood. This time it’s a founding father of Musical Theatre, Richard Rodgers, whose plays include Pal Joey, Oklahoma!, The King & I and many more. By inhabiting the life and work of this great American composer, we will discover so much about writers, theatre and our own world. For anyone who loves music, theatre and joining together on an autumn evening for some fun exploration.

Everyone has an amazing family history, but most have no clue how truly remarkable it is because they have never investigated the generations going far back in time. This workshop, led by a genealogist and author of four family histories, Laurence Overmire, inspires you to embark on a quest for your ancestral heritage and guides you through the steps to get you started.
