Another pop-up event for our audiences on Lakewood's lawn. The audience is capped at only 50. Online registration required! Musical artists include Lisa Knox, Erick Hailstone, Courtney Freed, and David Saffert - Oct. 17, 5-6:30 PM.

Lisa Knox enjoyed many years of making music her job of close to thirty years. Performing with various bands, she has sung just about every style of music in the book. Having been involved in theater prior to her music career, she was proud to play Mary Magdalene in the NW premiere of Jesus Christ Superstar in 1975 directed by none other than Steve Knox! In recent years, Lisa got back on the stage and has been in several productions at Lakewood Theatre. Her favorite roles include Miss Skillon in See How They Run, Bertha in Boeing Boeing, Frau Blucher in Young Frankenstein, Sister Mary Lazarus in Sister Act, and one of the Narrators in The Rocky Horror Show.

Erick Hailstone is a guitarist, singer, and composer with saxophone artist Mike Phillips. He has performed with Stevie Wonder, Kirk Whalum, Lalah Hathaway, Rick Braun & Patrick Lamb. Erick is a Yamaha Clinician specializing in guitars, amps, keyboards & audio. He has been a composer for NBC, E Network and several movies. Erick studied Arranging & Composition at The Berklee college of Music, Boston, MA.

Added performers for October 17 include songstress Courtney Freed and piano virtuoso David Saffert who will delight you with an array of amazing songs. Pre-quarantine, Courtney and David spent a lot of time performing around Portland and hosting a piano bar at Corkscrew Wine Bar in Sellwood, featuring some of Portland's most beloved singers! You might hear a Queen tune or two from Courtney's one-woman tribute to Freddie Mercury, called Mercury Rising.

Lakewood on the Lawn is a low-key event and participants are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and to respect all current health code requirements regarding social distancing and masks.  

Please plan to Bring Your Own - drinks and treats, but as a special amenity, snack packs will be available for pre-order and pick up at Nicoletta’s Table across the street, Orders need to be placed by Thursday, noon October 15th.
